After Harvey, a Greenway Where Townhomes Stood
Community Impact reported on November 4, 2019 that the Riverview Townhomes at Forest Cove, south of Hamblen Road across from the Forest Cove neighborhood, became uninhabitable after Hurricane Harvey in August 2017; the community center took almost 13 feet of floodwater. The Harris County Flood Control District was buying the units, buildings were coming down, and the Houston Parks Board planned a greenway trail on the land.
