The City of Humble Building Department
The department sits in City Hall at 114 W. Higgins St., and its phone number is 281-446-6228. Its building and inspection page lists the kinds of work that need a permit, including alteration of a building’s interior or exterior. It does not spell out roofing by name, so ask the department directly whether a re-roof or a siding replacement on your house needs one.
The City also publishes a contractor registration form. Ask any contractor whether they are registered with Humble before work starts.
Before a Humble Roof Goes On
- Call the Building Department about the permit.
- Confirm the contractor’s registration with the City.
- If there is a homeowners association, get its written approval for the material and color.
- Get the product, color, decking price and warranty in the quote.
